Conveniently located in the heart of downtown Jersey City since 1946, JC Eyes has been Jersey City’s premier one-stop vision practice for over 75 years. We proudly provide Jersey City with full-scope optometric care driven by advanced technologies in healthcare and an in-house optical shop featuring our own lens-cutting lab.

Our team of Optometrists is trained in diagnosing and treating eye diseases, fitting standard and specialty contact lenses, and prescribing spectacle eyeglasses for patients of all ages. Our mission is to emphasize wellness while meeting your eye health needs and visual demands.

Our Story

After serving in Pacific Theater of War during World War II, Dr. Perry Savoy acquired a small optical shop located on Newark Avenue in downtown Jersey City. Dr. Savoy launched a single-person operation where he cared for his patients while cutting lenses, fitting glasses and selling eyewear himself. With an ethos to serve, Dr. Savoy continuously ensured that his practice evolved to meet the needs of our community.

In the late 1970’s, the business grew when Dr. Savoy’s daughter, Dr. Randi Savoy and son-in-law, Dr. Martin Siegel joined the family practice. Staying committed to their roots, Drs. Savoy and Siegel continued to provide reliable and accessible Comprehensive Optometry to everyone who walked through their doors.

Drs. Savoy and Siegel moved the office across the street to its current location in 2002 and in 2004 they welcomed Dr. Roshni Desai to the team. Dr. Desai’s specialized training in medical Optometry helped advance the practice to include Ocular Disease Management and Emergency Care. And while Dr. Perry Savoy retired in 2006 and Drs. Randi Savoy and Martin Siegel in 2018, Dr. Desai and her team of dedicated Optometrists remain committed to the community based private practice established by the Savoy and Siegel family.
